According to reports from GMA, at least 83 houses in Surigao del Norte were damaged by the 5.9 magnitude aftershock quake shook the province last Sunday the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management council (NDRRMC) reported.
According to the report from NDRRMC, at least 78 homes were partially damaged while five of which were severely destroyed. They also reported that an elderly woman died from heart attack because of the aftershock while 27 were reported to be injured from falling objects.
Phivolcs described the 5.9 quake as an aftershock from last month’s 6.7 earthquake which was felt all over the country.
