5 Arrested For Making Fake ID’s And Documents In CdeO

In an article by The Manila Times, the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Office (RACO)-Northern Mindanao Office in collaboration with Cagayan de Oro Police Police Officers arrested five men who were allegedly involved in the illegal manufacturing and printing of fake identification cards and documents in Cagayan de Oro City.

The arrest came after when the two offices simultaneously raided several computer shops that did not have signages along the areas of T-Chavez Streets last Tuesday afternoon, October 17.

According to Ignacio Gamba, Chief of the RACO-NorthMin, the suspects were identified as Ramonito Lopez, Jinggoy Arana, Israel Fuentes, Kevin Go and Sallahudin Mautante Sumpingan.

During the operation, the authorities recovered computer equipment peripherals with various documents which were suspected to be falsified.

These computer shops have been already under surveillance for several months after reports surfaced regarding some illegal production of fake police identification cards and driver’s license.

As of this writing, the suspects were detained and are facing criminal charges for violating the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
