16 Aug Advisory: COWD Announces 16-hour Water Interruption On August 17

A 16-hour water interruption is expected to occur tomorrow, August 17, as announced by the Cagayan de Oro City Water District (COWD) to allow for some repair works in different areas in the city.
In an article from Sunstar Cagayan de Oro, COWD will be conducting “leakage repair and maintenance of 300mm diameter transmission line along Bitan-ag creek; repair of the raw water line of production well no.8 in Ramonal Village, Camaman-an, this city; and replacement of two inches diameter water meters inside the Provincial Capitol compound.”
There will be low water pressure to no water supply from 1:00 PM of August 17 to 5:00 AM of August 18 at “Corrales Extension corner CM Recto Avenue to Mitsubishi Gusa (Left side only towards Gusa from CM Recto); From Recto Avenue corner Osmena extension to Gaabucayan road corner Osmena extension; From Gaabucayan corner Corrales Extension to Agora; From Metrobank in Recto Avenue corner Agora road to the whole area of Agora including San Lazaro, Tabacco, San Juan 1.”
Also, the whole of the Provincial Capitol compound is also covered by the water interruption from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM of August 17 as well as the left portion of Centro Lapasan.
Consumers are advised to store ahead of the scheduled water interruption.
Furthermore, COWD assured its customers that all efforts will be done to restore the supply of water before the period of interruption ends.
