With the recent rise in complaints against Apple, they’ve finally made efforts to (slightly) make things right with their customers.
Apple has confirmed the rumors regarding their price discounts on iPhone battery replacements for iPhone 6 models and older. From the cost of $79 (around P3,900) they have reduced it to $29 (about P1,400).
(Prices will vary in various countries.)
That is an amazing $50 (around P2,500) discount. The new price was supposed to take effect this January, but the program ended up starting earlier last week.
So first of all, you have to understand that the main cause of your iPhone’s slower performance is the age of its battery. And there is no way to toggle Apple’s hidden throttling on or off within the company’s iOS software.
So, the only way to restore your iPhone to its peak performance is by installing a new battery.
To get started, all you have to do is head over to their website- Apple Support. There, you will be able to schedule an appointment with the nearest Apple Service Center in your area.
If there are no Apple stores or service centers near you, you can use their page to send your iPhone for repair to a branch of your choosing. Although, that means you won’t be able to have your iPhone for a while.
Furthermore, this battery replacement program is available for users with an iPhone 6 or later, and will be available until the end of 2018.
