In an article posted by Sunstar.com, three men were arrested and will be facing charges after being caught drinking liquor in the newly-opened Coastal Road last Wednesday, November 22 around 11 o’clock in the evening.
According to the Chief Inspector of Police Station 3, Allan Curato, officers were patrolling in the area when they saw the suspicious individuals, then after moments of observation, they realized the suspects were drunk and even discovered that one of them possessed a knife.
He also stated that the village officials have already put up signages along the Coastal Road announcing that drinking alcoholic beverages is prohibited in the area.
The suspects defended that they were not aware of this ordinance. But they will still face appropriate charges and pay about P1,500 each.
The said City Ordinance on Coastal Road started last November 10 after it was opened to the public.
