‘Bato’ dismisses CdeO police superintendent involved in money extortion

bato dismissed cdeo police official

In an article from bomboradyo.com, Philippine National Chief, Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa officially dismissed former Cagayan de Oro City Police Superintendent Michael John Deloso and Police Officer 3 Ernesto Galleto from service by virtue of the dismissal order from the Office of the Ombudsman last April 5, 2017.

In 2014, Deloso and Galleto were involved in a P6-million money extortion which resulted in his suspension after he was caught in the act receiving the money from police operatives. They were then charged by Atty. Ernie Palanan of serious dishonesty and grave abuse of authority before the Ombudsman in that same year.

Deloso and Galleto were already a hot target by authorities before the entrapment operation because of their alleged involvement in several extortion activities on jeepney drivers and operators.

Deloso, on the other hand, admitted that the charges against him affected his family’s economy.

PNP Regional Director C/Supt Agripino Javier reminded police officers in all ranks to be mindful of their duties and to avoid illegal activities so that they will not suffer the same fortune as Deloso and Galleto whose positions in the PNP will only be reverted if the Court of Appeals will flip the dismissal order filed against them.
