19 Jul Benaldo seeks tax payment proof from MisOr power plant company

In an article from Manila Times, Benaldo denied claims of the power plant company having paid off its taxes since starting operation in 2006.
He also added that the records of Phividec showed that Steag failed to pay more than P.4 billion back taxes on rental and real property tax.
Aside from Steag, Phividec disclosed two other tax delinquent companies are the Mindanao International Container Terminal and the Philippine Sinter Corporation with more than P342 million and over P131 million tax obligations respectively.
Steag Estate Power Inc, is one of the companies operating in a Phividec ecozone in Misamis Oriental.
