Background checks were already conducted by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to these individuals. This is to verify that of any arrest warrant was issued against them.

Residents were complaining that improvised explosive devices were planted there as  Maute bomb makers were probably using the compound.

Meanwhile, MSU has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.

To control the terror group in the area, a full-press military operation in Lanao was ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte on January 29, Sunday evening.
