The three travelers who were reportedly bound to Iloilo and are suspectedly related to the Maute clan were sent back to Cagayan de Oro City for the probing of their association with the recent terrorist attacks in Marawi City.

In an article from Inquirer.net, the three suspected relatives of the Mautes, Farida Romato, her brother Al Jadid Romato, and Farida’s supposed boyfriend Abdul Rahman Dimacuta, were accompanied by the members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) of Northern Mindanao aboard a 10-seat Islander PCG-owned plane towards Cagayan de Oro City.

Iloilo station commander Lt/Sgt. Edison Diaz, said that Farida was among those individuals who are supposedly facing the Arrest Order No. 1 issued by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana after the declaration of Martial Law in Mindanao

Farida and Al Jadid affirmed speculations of their affinity to the Mautes to be true but denied accusations of their involvement in the attacks made by the members of the Maute terrorist group.

Early morning of last Sunday, about 20 PCG members blocked the three suspected individuals at the Iloilo port after going out of the ship they boarded from Cagayan de Oro City.

Diaz also added that the three did not use their own names to secure tickets to get on the said ship.
