08 Mar CDO Church Official agrees to take part in Oplan Tokhang Part 2

In a report from Bombo Radyo CDO, Archdiocese Consultor Msgr Rey Manuel agreed to take part in police operations as the Philippine National Police revived Oplan Tokhang with new strategies.
In the revived version of Oplan Tokhang, PNP Chief Rolando “Bato” Dela Rosa invited the church officials to join the police operations to allow drug users to surrender.
The Archdiocese clarified that this is his opinion and not of the church as a whole to agree on the terms conferred by General Dela Rosa.
Manuel added that the PNP should also extend this invitation to the Commission on Human Rights to further enlighten them on the drug operations.
