CDO Earns P573 Million From Business Permit Renewals This January

The City Government of Cagayan de Oro had an increase of 26.8% in collected tax this January with the P573 million that they have earned due to business permit renewals this month.

This was stated by City Treasurer Ramon Antonio Mendoza in a meeting with all department heads. Held at the city hall and attended by Mayor Oscar Moreno himself last Monday, January 29.

Mendoza said that this is an unexpected increase of P121 million compared to last year’s collection of P452.2 million.

As of now, they have recorded 13, 575 business owners that renewed their business permits. But are still expecting a lot more coz’ there are 24, 037 residents that acquired the said permits last year.

For those who still want to register, the deadline of permit renewals have been extended today, January 31, due to the city council’s consideration of affected businesses in the damages of Storm Vinta caused last December 2017.
