City Government to Build P15 Million Bahay Pag-asa for Juvenile Children

The City Government of Cagayan de Oro has announced that they are going to build a home for CICLs or Children In Conflict with the Law. This will be constructed at Upper Puerto inside the Mother Theresa Foundation.

According to the Cagayan de Oro City Philippines’ FB Page, this building, named Bahay Pag-Asa, will cost around P15 million. Which consists of the P10 million fund from the Juvenile Justice Welfare Council and the P5 million from the local government.

Bahay Pag-Asa will have a 60-bed capacity in a 2-story building which will serve as a temporary home and rehabilitation center for teenagers 15 years old and below who have committed crimes.

Furthermore, along with the Bahay Pag-Asa, the city will also construct the Home for the Elderly, Mental Care Hospitals, and other important establishments in the area.
