COCPO Implements Strict Security Measures for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day

In connection with the upcoming observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2 respectively, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) will be implementing strict security measures as a preparation to assumptions of terror and lawless attacks.

In an article from sunstar.com.ph, COCPO’s Security Plan: Kalag-kalag 2017 will take effect on October 31, 2017 at 8  in the morning and will end on November 2, 2017 at 6 in the evening.

COCPO Spokesperson Chief Inspector Mardy Hortillosa II said that there should be stricter security inspections especially the city was assumed to be under terror and bombing threats as pronounced by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Authorities have been ordered not to let their guard down to prevent any form of criminal and terror offenses.

In preparation for the said threat, intelligence gathering is also being intensified to thwart the plans of terrorist groups.

Meanwhile, authorities reminded the public to refrain from bringing the following items inside the cemetery:  bladed weapons, entertainment devices that may disturb others, alcoholic beverages, guns, and illegal drugs.
