Concentrix Corporation, one of the country’s leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company, launched a donation drive for the benefit of the victims of the Marawi City siege which proved successful with the help of mostly their employees.
With that, the company was able to accumulate P1 million to help the affected communities within the city for their rehabilitation efforts and to provide food, water, and clothing among others for the evacuees.
In an article by ABS-CBN News, the Concentric-Cagayan de Oro used a portion of the raised money to help the wounded soldiers from the battlefield in Marawi City who are now taking recovering at the 4th Infantry Division Camp Evangelista. The soldiers received hygiene kits and soldiers kits which contained shirts, socks, toiletries, packed meals and food items.
Aside from that, the company is set to push through a feeding program, storytelling and literacy sessions for the affected children of the war-torn city until they can go back to their normal routines as students.
Concentrix also donated P200,000 to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to aid its humanitarian efforts for the children and people of the city. UNICEF will use the donated money for providing essential, life-saving aid to affected children and families as well as provide clean water, sanitation, food, shelter, and medical care, among others.
