Construction Resumes @ Cagayan de Oro International Convention Center: P149 Million Needed To Finish

Mga higala! The construction of the P349-million Cagayan de Oro International Convention Center located at Taguanao, Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City, has finally been resumed after being delayed for more than 10 years.

The convention center was built in 2003 and has been unutilized and deteriorating ever since.

According to details from Project LUPAD, the construction is now being continued by the Jejor’s Construction Corporation, and an additional cost of P149 million is said to be needed to finish the project. Check out some site pictures below:

In case you don’t know, when finished, the Cagayan de Oro Convention Center will have a multi-purpose hall that can accommodate over 1,000 guests, a convertible indoor playing court, an exhibit area for 1,500 viewing guests, 12 function rooms for 1,000 guests, 4 club rooms with lockers and showers, a cafeteria with approximately 100 seating capacity, a storage room, offices, and other support facilities.
