19 Sep CDO Councilor Called on Police Forces to Clear up Juvenile Delinquents in Divisoria
To get rid of juvenile delinquents at Plaza Divisoria, Cagayan De Oro City, Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya tapped on police forces to help in cleaning up the area.
Many Kagay-anons including Nacaya are alarmed over the minor crimes committed by these young delinquents in the heart of the city.
Nacaya asked for Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) chief, Senior Superintendent Ronnie Francis Cariaga to cooperate with the City Social Welfare and Development office. As he spoke, “I hope our social welfare office and enforcement agency will do something about the current situation of street children who are sleeping, and making their living in the streets of Divisoria.”
He feared that if the authorities pretended not to notice the issue, the street children would grow up to become criminals.
He said, “Ang uban gapangilkil na.”
Councilor Reuben Daba said he would deem the problem including the issues and concerns on the protection of the children.
