20 Oct COWD Terminates Contract With Rio Verde; Said No Water Rate Hike In The Next 2 Years With New Water Supplier

In an article posted by Sunstar.com.ph, an official of the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) official said that there will be no rate increase in the next two years even though they had a new partner company in supplying water to their customers.
COWD has a new agreement with its new bulk water supplier, MetroPac Water Investments Corporation after it recently terminated its contract with Rio Verde Water Consortium Inc.
According to COWD General Manager Engineer Rachel Beja, that there is no definite water rate structure for the meantime but it can be reviewed after two years if the financial condition of COWD is still okay.
