31 Aug DeTa Beauty Cosmetics Official Launching in Cagayan de Oro
DeTa Beauty Cosmetics, a new line of organic cosmetics manufactured and marketed from the U.S., officially launched its cosmetic lines and revolutionary makeup products for Cagayan de Oro City last August 20, 2016 at the N Hotel.
About the Owners and the Brand
DeTa Beauty Cosmetics is owned and operated by Mr. Saad Maniar and Ms. Kathleen Maniar. They are a husband and wife team from Chicago with a makeup artistry background and are both freelance makeup artists.

Saad is the company CEO while Kathleen is the Chief Creative Officer. Saad is an Urdu Pakistani while Kathleen is Filipino. The name De Ta comes from a combination of “Deta” meaning “son” in Urdu and “Tita” meaning “aunt” in Filipino Tagalog.
Event Proper
Music for the said event was provided by Cagayan de Oro’s very own femme fatale DJ of Team 4Play, Miss J.
The show was also hosted by R-Funk Ylaya, one of Cagayan de Oro’s premier English language program and show hosts.

A delicious buffet dinner was served, with the dessert cakes and cupcakes spelling out the word “De Ta” while the cake was also decorated with make-up items like lipsticks, etc.
Mr. and Mrs. Maniar then each gave a talk about themselves and their profession, how their business started, what makes their products better than others, and of course, thanked everyone for coming to the launching.
After the speeches, everyone was invited on stage to try out the products and have open discussions with the Maniars.
Husband and wife proved to be friendly, down to earth, and very approachable, and even provided some demo make-ups for some guests. The event was also an opportunity for the Maniars to introduce other services to be provided by De Ta Beauty such as The Airbrush Look, The Natural Look, The Glam Look, and for weddings, and the Bridal Look.
The Fashion Show
The highlight of the night was a fashion show featuring the models and clothing creations of Gil Macaibay III, one of Cagayan de Oro’s top-notch fashion designers.
All models were shown to wear DeTa cosmetics to show the audience the effects of the brand when worn through a fashion show. Another highlight was a raffle draw wherein winners won different De Ta cosmetic products

VIP guests present at the event were Ms. Nicole Abas Datayan and Jamie Joy Bantigue of ABS-CBN.

Stylist Shine Casino, Make-up Artist Frank Tongco, famous fashion designer Gil Macaibay III, Miss CDO 2015 Charinna Barro, as well as family and relatives of the Maniars also graced the event.
Covering this cosmetics launching event for Team About Cagayan de Oro were Yani Lea Briones and Khristine ‘KC’ Curay.
About DeTa Beauty
DeTa Beauty Cosmetics is offering a wide variety of beauty and makeup products such as lip lacquers, lipsticks, eye shadows, strobe highlight palettes, contouring palettes, bronzing palettes, blush ons, and foundations. All products are Paraben free and cruelty free. Paraben is supposedly a preservative chemical such as Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben and Isobutylparaben that is used to preserve makeup products and prevent the growth of fungus, bacteria, and other microbes in these products.
However, recent medical research has discovered a connection between Paraben and certain cancers in women, which is why Paraben-free cosmetics are now more widely sought out.
