11 Dec DepEd Cancels Christmas Parties in Region X

DepEd Region 10 has announced the cancellation of all Christmas Parties in the whole school division this month.
The Schools Governance Operations Division Chief Rosalio Vitorillo confirmed this information.
According to him, finding an alternative way to celebrate Christmas parties would be an effort to sympathize with our kababayans affected by the Marawi Siege.
Furthermore, DepEd has included in their memos before that Christmas celebration in public schools and DepEd Central and field offices should be simple but meaningful. We should keep in mind the true spirit of the season and the predicament of our fellow Filipinos who can’t celebrate this occasion.
