President Duterte Vows to Help Cancer Patients, Inaugurates Anti-Cancer Project

President Rodrigo Duterte has established a partnership with the administration of the Premiere Medical Center (PMC) to help and support cancer patients through the anti-cancer project.

According to a report from Philstar, the president visited Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija being the guest of honor during the PMC’s 20th-anniversary celebration on January 18, Wednesday.

PMC president Reynaldo Yang and his wife PMC director Sylvia Banal-Yang, provincial prosecutor Danilo Yang and other hospital officials welcomed President Duterte.

The president has complimented the PMC for serving the people. He also acknowledged the doctors saying they have the highest credibility among Filipino professionals as they deal with the human lives.

He said that even New People’s Army (NPA) rebels won’t hurt rural doctors as they have high respect for doctors. He added that these rebels will also get sick.

President Duterte has also visited the cancer patients at PMC’s Joseph Ray Banal Yang Cancer Institute.

The PMC’s cancer patients will receive financial assistance from the president as he launched a project to fight against cancer.

Danilo stated that they cannot afford to finance the treatment of the cancer patients and that they seek help from the president, and fortunately, President Duterte said that he would help them.
