Fire hits 10 Classrooms in Carmen, CDO

In an article from Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, 10 classrooms were destroyed by a fire in West City Central School, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City last Friday April 14, 2017.

SFO1 Dennis Dalis, the fire investigator in Bureau of Fire Protection or BFP Central Fire District said that they didn’t reject the possibility of faulty electrical wiring as the origin of the incident.

According to the BFP, the fire started from the school canteen that spread through the Grade 6 classrooms that were located on the second floor of the school.

Further, there are no injured employees inside the canteen since they are on a vacation leave during the incident.

The firemen launch a site overhauling to make sure that the incident will not create another harm on the area.

It was recorded that the initial structural damage is P1.5 million.
