18 Jun Fleeing Maute Sister, 2 others arrested after being spotted in CdeO port

A sister of the Maute brothers was arrested on a ship with two other suspects near the port of Iloilo yesterday June 18, 2017.
According to a report from Philippines Star, the suspects were boarded 2Go’s MV St. Therese of the Child Jesus. The woman, who police withheld the name, was first spotted at the port in Cagayan de Oro City last Saturday. The suspects used fake ID’s to get by checkpoints.
Reports also noted that the sister was accompanied by two others and one had an amputated leg. Earlier last week, authorities have successfully arrested the parents of the Maute brothers which are now in the custody of the police.
