In an article posted by Sunstar.com, a school principal in a grade school in Cagayan de Oro City was arrested last Wednesday (September 13) for allegations of child abuse.

According to the Deputy Commander/Station Commander of Cogon Police Chief Inspector Jason Sto. Domingo, a warrant of arrest was released by the Regional Trial Court Branch 22 that was served to the Principal of City Central School Arnold Tejero.

In an interview, the suspect denied the allegations and defended that the fiscal’s office made the resolution but failed to take note of his counter-affidavit.

Tejero said that he was involved since he investigated the issue, the complaint against him is the way he counsels the child, and he said that it was a lie.

The warrant was served and he goes obediently and he said that he was about to file a bail but he ran out of time.

It can be remembered that Tejero was also accused of committing sexual harassment towards a fifth grader and to some teachers of the school.

The suspect spent his night inside a jail cell in Cogon police station.

Meanwhile, the assistant Principal of City Central school Rudy Villalobos was also arrested for allegations of child abuse but was released after paying bail.

There are also reports about a complaint that was filed against Villalobos last April of 2016 for allegedly kicking Grade 5 and Grade 6 students.
