Interfaith groups conduct relief operations in Marawi City

In an article from Sunstar.com,  several interfaith organizations gathered together to conduct a relief operation on June 13 to 16 of this year, for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from different provinces including Marawi City, North Cotabato, Davao del Sur, and Maguindanao.

In a statement from the group, they said that they wanted to help “empower and organize survivors and victims of internal displacements and all-out war”. They monitored approximately 235, 000 IDPs, which excluded unfixed number of Marawi City Residents, who are mostly Maranaos,  who were still trapped in the city.

Interfaith organizations included in the group are Kalinaw Mindanao, Balsa Mindanao, Kusog sa Katawhang Lumad sa Mindanao, Kawagib Moro Human Rights Alliance, Moro-Christian People’s Alliance, Suara Bangsamoro, Sisters’ Association in Mindanao, and Barug Katungod Mindanao.
