05 Sep Kagay-anon Swimmer Bags 1 Gold & 5 Silver Medals In Singapore Swimming Competition
Mga higala! Kagay-anons swimmer Merrell James B. Neri, a 15-year-old Grade 10 student of Cagayan de Oro College (COC), won a gold medal and 5 silver medals in the recently held 14th Singapore Island Country Club Swimming Championships on August 25-26, 2018.
Neri bagged the gold medal in the 200-meter freestyle category and won the five silver medals in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke and 4×50 relay, where he swam against the best swimmers from China, Malaysia, Britain, Japan and host Singapore.
Neri then paid a visit to Mayor Oscar Moreno’s municipal office yesterday, September 4, and was praised for his talent and efforts.
