Max’s Group Inc. (MGI), one of the country’s leading food firms which brought some of the most favorited casual dining stores to Filipinos, is planning to put up more of their chains of stores in Mindanao following the defeat of the Maute-ISIS terrorist group in Marawi City.

In an article from Philippine Canadian Inquirer, MGI President Robert F. Trota said that as government troops achieved the freedom of Marawi City, it is just timely to open more stores in Mindanao to take advantage of the improving economy of the island-region.

The company has allocated more than P800 Million for its plan to put up over 60 to 70 branches for its core brands such as Max’s Restaurant, Pancake House, Yellow Cab Pizza, and Krispy Kreme, where some might open before the end of the year.

The plan is included in its goals to open a total of 1,000 outlets in the Philippines and 200 more internationally by the year 2020.

Moreover, the company sets its goal to open more stores overseas. Such target global regions and countries include Middle East, North America, Canada, Singapore, China, and Vietnam.

As an addition to that list, Trota shared, Max’s also would like to expand in India, as well as in Australia, the ASEAN and the Asia Pacific Regions.
