28 Dec MisOr Provincial Jail Inmate Hangs Self Inside Shower Room on Christmas Day
Identified as Eujimbo Lagat, 47 years old and a resident of Napiliran, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, the inmate who was found dead inside the shower room of Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ) situated at Corrales-Luna Streets here in Cagayan de Oro last December 25, 2016.
According to a report from Sun.Star, Lagat hanged himself inside the shower room using a rope as discovered by his fellow inmate. It was then found that Lagat has been planning to take his own life after learning that his wife have left him, based on the initial investigation.
Four pieces of paper with notes believed to be written by Lagat were recovered by the authorities.
At a funeral home in Poblacion, Tagoloan town was where Lagat’s remains were brought to for possible autopsy.
