It is an absolute honor for every girl out there to be taking part in a beauty pageant like Miss Silka Northern Mindanao. Being a Miss Silka title-holder, you can do great things with different activities and events scheduled for you. However, the responsibility of wearing the crown does not end there, it is also about being a great ambassador for Silka Philippines,  being passionate about the brand and being able to connect to a lot of people.

With so many responsibilities and limitations, it takes a brave woman like Judith Polestico to fight for the crown and become the reigning Miss Silka Northern Mindanao 2017.

After a month of preparation, 15 young and beautiful ladies vying for the title Miss Silka 2017 finally reap the fruits of their hard work last September 15, 2017 at the Event Center, Centrio Ayala Mall.

The number of candidates were trimmed down to seven (7) who proceeded to the next round with the combined deliberations of judges namely Ms. Sheryl Macale, Mr. Clement Dampal, Mr. Jayson Monding, Mr. Gabby “Daddy Gab” Bacarro, Ms. Clyde Anastacio Talavera, Mr. Edrian Repaylo and the Chairman of Cosmetique Asia Corporation –  Mr. Romeo  Zaulda.

The seven remaining candidates were individually asked with tricky questions from one judge that would test their critical thinking skills. Candidate #4 Judith Polestico nailed her answer as Mr. Gabby “Daddy Gab” Bacarro asked, “I want you to convince me, give me one beautiful reason nganong tagaan tika ug perfect score for this year’s Miss Silka Northern Mindanao?”
