25 Jul War on drugs claims 19 lives in Northern Mindanao
Three out of the nineteen so-called drug personalities gunned down because of resisting arrest from the police in Northern Mindanao. There are still no leads or suspects for the sixteen others who were killed by unidentified person/s. The slain drug personalities hailed from Misamis Oriental, Tagoloan, Bukidnon and Misamis Occidental.
On July 21, Ali Kiram, alleged drug personality belonging to the Northern Mindanao PNP wanted list was killed in Talakag, Bukidnon after trying to escape and firing shot to the police. The encounter killed Kiram and was found with a packet of suspected shabu.
In Barangay Natumulan, Tagoloan, a certain Melvin “Alo” Tadeo was gunned down July 16, after resisting arrest in a buy-bust operation by the Tagoloan PNP. Tadeo was allegedly a drug pusher in the area.
