In an article posted by Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, authorities are now preparing to file the charges against more than 150 members of the rebel group New People’s Army (NPA) who attacked the Davao Agricultural Ventures Corporation (DAVCO-Del Monte Fresh Produce Inc.) in Sitio Rang-ay, Brgy. Merangeran, Quezon, Bukidnon which resulted in a P60-million total damage of equipment.
According to Quezon Police Station Investigator SPO3 Rodney Bangcog, some of the rebels who attacked the facility were already identified.
He added that among the cases being prepared to file against the suspects are destructive arson, economic sabotage, and robbery due to crime.
Furthermore, damaged equipment due to the burning included boom spray tractor, boom harvester, two nurse trucks and a generator.
Aside from stealing 13 firearm units from the facility’s security personnel, the rebels also stole some of the personal belongings of the employees before escaping.
