The Philippine Army gained another win during this week’s latest encounter after the 58th IB successfully confiscated high-caliber weapons from the New People’s Army (NPA).
In an article by bomboradyo.com, the said skirmish happened at Sitio Kapatagan, Brgy. Umagos, Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental.
4th ID Spokesperson Capt. Joe Patrick Martinez stated that the group they encountered were responsible for the recent attack on Binuangan Police Station.
Some of the confiscated firearms are M-16 and Garand Rifles. The NPA accidentally abandoned several of these weapons during their escape.
Furthermore, no casualties were recorded on both parties regarding the firefight.
