11 Jun Philippine Independence Day Promos and Activities in Cagayan de Oro
Every 12th of June, we- the Filipinos- celebrate Independence Day to commemorate the Philippine declaration of independence from Spain on June 12, 1898. This annual celebration was since then being celebrated since 1962 until the present.
The whole country celebrates this historical day, with series of events and activities being held at every city or province. Streets, bridges, buildings and homes are adorned with philippine flags that were already set up a week before. This is how important Philippine Independence Day is to Filipinos.
In Cagayan de Oro, the city government has already laid a series of activities that every Kagayanon and even tourists can enjoy. Called Himugso Cagayan de Oro, it is a week-long joint celebration of the Philippine Independence Day and the 66th City Charter Day that is to happen on June 15, 2016.
Aside of the Himugso Cagayan de Oro, several establishments and institutions have their own way of celebrating the Philippine Independence Day. Here are the following:

Alab, the Cultural Show of Liceo de Cagayan University Chorale and Folkloric Group to be held at the Kiosko Kagawasan on June 12, 6PM. With performances from Liceo Next Moves, Liceo Folkloric Dance Troupe, Liceo Conservatory of Music plus special guest performers.
