14 Oct Philippines to Have Its First-Ever Bullet Train Soon
In a hearing of the House of Representatives transportation committee, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Chairman Martin Diño revealed that if everything goes as planned, the Philippines will have its first-ever bullet train. He added that the bullet train will connect Subic in Zambales and Clark in Pampanga spanning 60 kilometers.
The project is said to be carried out through a public-private partnership with a Chinese firm.
And as Duterte to visit China this coming October 18 to 22 along with some business executives, the discussions on the railway project would be included in his agenda.
“Yun ang kaunaunahan natin na hopefully magawa agad. Yung pipirmahan natin contract ay PPP,” said Diño.
