Placing an IUD after normal delivery can be claimed as a second case rate. In other words, two benefits will be received from PhilHealth.

NSD Package and IUD Insertion: 6,500 + 2,000

Maternity Care Package and IUD Insertion: 8,000 + 2,000

Postpartum IUD Insertion is the immediate application of an intrauterine device (IUD) after vaginal or cesarean delivery. Women who undergo this process will not get pregnant and their motivation to use contraceptives will be increased.

In addition, immediate insertion of IUDs are safe and effective in comparison with the contraceptives.

The process is worth 2,000 pesos which covers payment for counseling, professional fee, IUD device, use of the facilities and all other related services patients may require.
