09 Aug Kagay-Anon Rey Nambatac, Favorite to Win Friday’s NCAA All-Star Three-Point Shootout!
The 3-point specialist from Cagayan de Oro City, Letran’s Rey Nambatac, is the favorite to win this year’s NCAA All-Star Three-Point Shootout on August 12 at the San Juan Arena.
Last year, his teammate, Mark Cruz, won the crown. Cruz has already taken his talents to the PBA, leaving Nambatac as the main gunner for the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights this season.
Together with Nambatac in the competition are Wilson Baltazar of Lyceum of the Philippines University, Zach Nicholls of Arellano University, AC Soberano of Letran’s rival San Beda College, RK Ilagan of San Sebastian College-Recoletos, College of St. Benilde’s Carlo Young, Jose Rizal University’s Paolo Evardo, Mapua Institute of Technology’s Exe Biteng and University of Perpetual Help’s McKevin Velasquez.
Nambatac will also lead the NCAA West All-Stars that will face-off against the East All-Stars who is led by fellow Kagay-Anon, Jiovani “The Bus Driver” Jalalon.
