In an article posted by Sunstar.com, the alleged gunman responsible for killing a traffic enforcer last December 2016 was arrested by the authorities last Tuesday noon, October 17 along Yacapin-Capt. Vicente Roa Sts., Cagayan de Oro City.
The suspect, Mohaimen Macauyag (30 years of age) a.k.a. “Alex Masacal” and “Alex Macatana”, was arrested by the police by the virtue of a warrant of arrest against killing the traffic team leader Cris Cabingas.
Cabingas was shot by the suspect when he was managing the traffic situation in Cogon Public Market on the night of December 30, 2016. He was then brought to the hospital but was declared dead afterward.
Further, the suspect (originally from Mapandi, Marawi City) currently lives in NHA Kauswagan but was left hiding in Bukidnon and Marawi after the incident.
It was found that the suspect has been hired to kill another member of the Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) or a police officer, and was sighted along Yacapin-Capt. Vicente Roa when the authorities responded.
