Suspected ASG medics arrested in Pagadian City

In an article from Manila Bulletin, two suspicious individuals who were suspected to be Abu Sayyaf rebel group medics were arrested and charged with rebellion in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

According to Justice Undersecretary Erickson Balmes, the suspects were identified as Jadzie Harad Saabdula, 50 and Jamal Kalib, 18 and were arrested after buying various kinds of medicines at a pharmacy in Pagadian City.

The medicines are suspected to be used as a remedy for wounded members of terrorists who are currently embattled in Marawi City with the state military as their opponent.

Furthermore, Balmes recognized Saabdula who worked as a nurse at a municipal hospital in Bangungui, Jolo who went AWOL. The suspect is also said to have been providing medical assistance to the fighters and the brother of the slain ASG leader Nadzmi Saabdula otherwise known as “Commander Global”.
