Spiderman is back: More Blockbuster Movies coming this July

Spider-Man: Homecoming (July 7)

Well aren’t we all excited for our friendly neighborhood hero – Spider-man to come back on the big screen once again. After some delay to the Spider-man Franchise, Marvel is bringing back our wall-climbing, back flipping, and web slinging hero. The newest Spider-man Homecoming will feature a brand new actor in the guise of Tom Holland – a young British Actor we first saw on Marvel’s Captain America Civil War, where he stole Captain’s shield and ultimately stole our hearts.

The brand new entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a fresh take on the story of Peter Parker as a young teenage boy who went to high school and had normal teenage problems. Critics have already acclaimed the movie as one-of-a-kind and it seems to be working out, giving the movie a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (Wonder Woman had only 92%).

Seeing that this is going to be another Marvel success, we look forward to its opening in our local cinemas here in CdeO on July 7th.

War for the Planet of the Apes (July 14)

Probably one of the most anticipated movies in 2017, the War for the Planet of the Apes is the third movie in rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise. The movie revolves around the war for survival for both humans and ape-alike. Since the movie Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, we saw how the human-like monkeys have evolved overtime gaining more knowledge of our world than ever before. Well, it clearly captivated a lot of audiences since its classic planet of the apes entry way back in 1962. War for the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters on July 14.

Dunkirk (July 21)

If you like these movies – Inception (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Interstellar (2014), you would probably hit off with this World War II war movie Directed by no other Christopher Nolan. The story revolves around a rescue mission of British troop stranded on the beach in a small corner of Northern France by some 700 pleasure cruisers who braved the seas. Not to mention the continuous bombard of armaments from Nazi bombers on flight. Based on a true story, this movie would surely captivate war movie fans out there.

Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets (July 21)

This brand new Sci-Fi Action Film will definitely score your alien fantasies as it brings on one epic story of saving the entire universe. Based of on a french comic series Valerian and Laureline published in 1967, the film is set to captivate movie goers with out of this world Computer Generated Images and Special Effects. Valerian, played by Dane Dehaan and Laureline, played by model and actress Cara Delevigne, is set on an adventure to Alpha, an ever expanding metropolis where species across the universe converged. The two were sent there to investigate an anomaly that would threaten the existence of Alpha and the entire universe. The movie is set to hit theaters on July 21st.
