22 Dec New Urban Hub To be Established at Uptown Lumbia

Uptown areas in Cagayan de Oro City are being considered to be the new urban hub where all business centers will be located and established.
According to a report from Sun.Star, City Mayor Oscar Moreno said that road networks connecting the said barangay were already improved to extend infrastructure support for prospective businesses.
He added that the are may be an extension of the city hall and maybe a market for real estate.
Uptown villages are a strategic location as it is located on a higher ground which makes it a flood free area, it also has a small population, and already has developed road networks especially the Barangay Lumbia.
The city is still devising and examining on major road expansions especially in uptown areas and solve traffic woe in the city proper, said Eileen San Juan, city investment and promotion officer.
About 66 kilometers of road in the uptown area were already concreted based on the data from the City Engineer’s Office.
To allow the smooth delivery of good and services to and from the city proper and barangays, Mayor Moreno prioritizes the road concreting project.
