Warehouse of a Pharmaceutical Company Swallowed in Flames, Security Guard Injured

A warehouse of a pharmaceutical company in Barangay Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City was in flames on New Year’s day, January 1, Sunday.

Stated on the report from Sun.Star, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Northern Mindanao said that a security guard was injured as the flames ignite in the building.

The injured personnel was identified as Janito Patrocinio who was wounded in his left thigh. Engineer Noli dela Rita, BFP-Northern Mindanao spokesperson believe that his legs probably got stuck on something when he tried to put out the fire.

Philusa Corporation owned the devastated warehouse where pharmaceutical products and other household liquids in plastic containers were consumed by the fire.

The fire ignited at around 12:48 a.m. and was declared “fire out” at 4:41 a.m., said BFP-Northern Mindanao, adding that the damage cost is at P3 million.

The BFP-Northern Mindanao said the warehouse of Philusa Corporation was gutted by fire at around 12:48 a.m.
