19 Jul 10 Awesome Inns in Cagayan de Oro with Budget-friendly Rates
There is quite a long list of inns in Cagayan de Oro City that offer really budget-friendly and family-friendly rates, a testament to the city’s growth and progress. However, in making the selection, we opted not to include those inns with somewhat shady reputations since we are looking for inns that are not only budget friendly but also family friendly. Of course, other things considered are its cleanliness, housekeeping, accommodations, and customer service. Also, all these inns are accredited by the Department of Tourism.

A popular economy tourist inn located at the corner of Pabayo and Toribio Chavez Streets. It is one of the oldest tourist inns in the city but still one of the most popular, being in the heart of Divisoria.

Casa Isabella
A surprisingly affordable and economy inn with first class standard rooms and a very clean ambiance.

D’Morvie Suites
One of the more popular economy tourist inns for many transients, tourists, and travelers.

It is located along Yacapin Street in front of Mindy’s. This is the main branch with another branch located along C.M. Recto Avenue in Lapasan. Their rooms are the most affordable ranging from P250 up to P350 due to the pod-like atmosphere. All rooms are air-conditioned with cable TV, hot shower, and Wi-Fi access.

GV Hotel
This is a fairly new business hotel taking advantage of the new and sudden surge of business along Corrales Avenue and Corrales Extension where it is also located, beside the Capitol University.

D’Budgetel
Another fairly new hotel along Corrales Extension taking advantage of the bustling Corrales roadway. It is located inside the Lifestyle District in front of the Capitol University.

It is one of the few inns in the city that caters to traveling groups by providing dormitory-like rooms. Room rates start off at P600 up to P800. Family or dorm rooms are P2,400 for 8 persons and P3,000 for 10 persons. Permanent dorm rooms are P250 per bed. Rooms are air-conditioned with cable TV, hot shower, and Wi-Fi access.

Travelers Pod
The “Pod” offers 4-star ambiance in a dormitory-type atmosphere for tourist groups, business groups, or families traveling on a tight budget.

It is one of the few inns in the city that offers dormitory-like accommodations for large groups. It is located at the Gateway Tower 1 beside its cousin, the Luxe Hotel. It also has direct access to the Limketkai Center Mall via secure walkways.

The Red Planet Hotel
Formerly named Tune Hotels, the Red Planet is situated along C.M. Recto Avenue in Lapasan, in front of Mindanao University for Science and Technology (MUST).

They have 159 guestrooms and they are one of the few hotels in the city that use the latest features in hotel security, being an international line of affordable inns. This inn is more suited for those with vehicles as you need to pass through the large garage before gaining access to the hotel entrance. All their rooms have a pod-like atmosphere. Hotel Sogo
The Cagayan de Oro branch of the famous international line of tourist inn accommodations. This one is located at the Geleng Building, C.M. Recto Avenue in Lapasan.

The inn is both for walk-in or drive-in if you have a vehicle. Room rates are different during weekdays and weekends though the difference is only between P50 to P70. There are also different rates for staying 10 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours. Walk-in rooms are different from drive-in rooms.

New Dawn Pensionne
This fairly new inn is owned and managed by the Grand City Hotel group. It is located at the corner of Don A. Velez and Macahambus Streets in front of Pelaez Sports Center and Caltex Gas Station.
