02 Mar 12-Hour Blackout To Occur in Cagayan de Oro Barangays this Sunday

A 12-hour blackout on Sunday, March 4, 2018 has been announced by the Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company Inc. (CEPALCO) website due to a request by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the relocation of 34.5KV poles affected by the Rotunda project at Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental and the road widening project of Barangay Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City.
The power interruption will start from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. CEPALCO will also conduct line maintenance works during this time.
This 12-hour blackout will affect Tagoloan feeder areas and the following barangays/locations in CDO:
- Bugo
- Puerto
- Upper Puerto to Alae area
- Agusan & Balubal
- Tablon (up to Nestle including Sapong and Palalan)
- Firstgen HEP, Global Agro and Menzi-Agri Area
Power can be restored early, as soon as all line works are completed.
