Mga higala! The Cagayan Electric Power & Light Company Inc. or CEPALCO, has released an advisory regarding a scheduled 12-hour brownout in various areas of Cagayan de Oro City this Sunday, August 12.

According to their post, this scheduled power interruption will be conducted in order to facilitate the request of Oro Chamber Business Development Center for a relocation of an electrical post along P.N. Roa Sr. Avenue.

The schedule and the affected areas of the 12-hour brownout are as follows:

A. TIME OF INTERRUPTION: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12 HRS)

Affected Areas:

1. Along West Diversion Road up to Silver Creek Subdivision.
2. Golden Glow Village, Golden Glow North, Golden Glow North 2 and The Courtyards.
3. COWD-Pueblo de Oro Development Corp. Pump Station.
4. Along Masterson Avenue from Petron-SM, Taipan Cars including Hall of Justice, DILG, SEARSOLIN-Manresa down towards Chinese Cemetery.

B. TIME OF INTERRUPTION : 6:00AM – 8:00AM (2 HRS); 4:00PM – 6:00PM (2 HRS); SWITCHING

Affected Areas:

(PORTION OF PUEBLO FEEDER 1)

1. Old Landfill area from Dagong to Mother Ignacia Village including Sacred Heart Village, SPUM and SM City.
2. Along Villarin St., Carmen up to Chinatown including St. Mary’s Academy, Sta. Cruz and Coop Village, Golden Village, City Hospital-DOH Area and Country Village Hotel.
3. Seriña St. from Villarin St. down to Madonna and Child Hospital.
4. Max Suniel St. from Villarin St. down towards portion of Mabolo St.; including Matilde Neri St., Dabatian St. and Cagayan de Oro College area; and a portion of Lirio Extension area including Middleton.

(PUEBLO FEEDER 2)

1. All of Upper Balulang and of Brgy. Lumbia including; PNR Sawmill, Shop and transmitter; Camella Homes and Xavier Estates and Xavier Heights.
2. The greater portion of Pueblo de Oro from Philam Life and Gran Via to Morning Mist, Xavier University High School-Pueblo, Hillsborough, up to Vista Verde and Pueblo Golf Estates.
3. All of Gran Europa including Portico, La Mirande, Lissandra, La Buena Vida, Frontiera and Montana, & Vista Grande Subdivisions.
   Lumbia Airport and BPC plant.
4. South Diversion Road from Rosevale School up to Nanuri School, CDO International Convention Center and Ultra Winds.

Greater Camaman-an towards Tipolohon and Alegria Hills
1. Portions of Camaman-an from Barangay Hall including Manto to Carmellite, San Jose and St. Vianney Seminaries.
2. Greater portion of Camaman-an proper towards Bontong, Bolonsori up to Upper Camaman-an including Tipolohon up to Alegria Hills Subdivision.

C. TIME OF INTERRUPTION : 7:00AM – 7:30AM (30 MIN); 6:00PM – 6:30PM (30 MIN); SWITCHING

Affected Areas:

Galaxy-Gusa to Lapasan to Agora, Indahag

1. A portion of Brgy. Gusa from corner National Highway at Galaxy to San Pedro, Gusa including Upper Gusa at Camacawan.
2. A greater portion of Brgy. Lapasan up to corner Agora-Shell including Puregold.
3. Brgy. Indahag including Alegria Hills Administration Office.

Note: Power will be restored immediately without further notice when the line and switching works are completed earlier than scheduled. Please be guided by this announcement.
