Mga higala! Due to the constant BULLYING of his classmates, a 13-YEAR-OLD committed SUICIDE last week, in Barangay Pagatpat, Cagayan de Oro City.

According to a report by Superbalita Cagayan de Oro, the mother expressed that his classmates continually made fun of her child’s skin condition and often called him ‘kagiron’, and that this may have contributed to the suicide.

“Kagahapon nag eskwela na siya di na dayon siya mobalik pagka-udto kay di na daw siya ganahan mo eskwela kay sige siyag sawayon sa iyang mga klasmeyt sa eskwelahan nga kagiron.” [Yesterday, he came back from school and said that he doesn’t want to go back again because his classmates call him ‘kagiron’.] said the mother on a radio interview.

Moreover, it was discovered that the 13-year-old child’s classmates would also put trash, dirty rags, and grass inside his bag as part of the bullying.

The child was found hanging lifelessly in their home’s dirty kitchen, last Wednesday, December 5.
