23 Oct 14th National Organic Agriculture Congress (NOAC) to be Held in CdeO
The 14th National Organic Agriculture Congress (NOAC) will be held in Cagayan de Oro City from October 24 to 26, at the Limketkai Center Atrium in which thousands of farmers, industry players, and organic farming advocates are expected to participate.
In an article from DavaoToday, Department of Agriculture-Region 10 Regional Director, Carlene Collado, said that NOAC will increase the awareness and practices of organic farming in the country through the exchange of package knowledge, skills enhancement, and market linkages that will be taking place during the event.
Activities that will be included in the two-day affair are consultations, organic trade exhibit, awarding ceremony for organic agriculture achievers, a showcase of organic technology demonstration farm, and plenary session.
Also, there will be beginners sessions, sharing on cost-effectiveness, and productive and sustainable practices in farming.
Participants will also be hearing the success stories of farmer-producers in the field of organic farming and the benefits and perks that comes with it.
Senator Cynthia Villar, Chair of the Senate Agriculture and Food Committee, and Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Emmanuel Piñol will also be gracing the event.
