14 Oct 15th Strike Wing of the Philippine Air Force to be Transferred to Lumbia Airport in Cagayan de Oro
In line with the ongoing efforts of decongesting airfield in Metro Manila and Southern Tagalog, Philippine Air Force’s primary attack unit 15th Strike Wing which is presently housed in Sangley Point in Cavite will be transferred to Lumbia Airport in Cagayan de Oro.
An amount of P987,768,845.44 has already been allocated by the Department of National Defense (DND) for the “Phase 1 – Site Development and Construction of Billeting Facilities for the Transfer of 15th Strike Wing”.
The said attack unit is equipped with the brand new AW-109 attack helicopters, OV-10 attack planes, MG-520 attack helicopters, and SF-260 ground-attack aircraft.
On October 18, 2016, 10:00 AM will be the pre-bid conference to be organized by the DND Bids and Awards Committee at the Headquarters Tactical Operations Group 10, Conference Room, Lumbia Airport.
For the interested bidders, they must have completed a similar project worth 50 percent of the aforementioned contract and should have already passed the requirement of the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board. For the winning bidders or contractors, they are then required to complete the project within 560 calendar days upon the issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
Opening of bids will be on November 4, 2016, 10:00 AM at the DND Bids and Awards Committee, Conference Room, basement, left wing, DND Building, Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
