05 Apr 16-Foot Dead Oarfish Found in Salay, Misamis Oriental
Mga higala! A 16-foot dead oarfish was found today along River Side-2 of Salay, Misamis Oriental.

With the recent occurrence of earthquakes in Mindanao, the belief of people that oarfishes can predict earthquakes has sparked again. But scientists differ with these claims, saying that a lot of this particular species has been found dead all-over the Philippine shores due to pollution or deep-sea activities.

Furthermore, according to Japanese folklore, oarfish are nature’s version of prophets of doom.
