01 Oct 2 Notorious Drug Suspects Killed in Recent Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Barangay Macabalan

In the afternoon of September 30, 2016, Friday, 2 notorious suspected drug pushers were killed during a drug buy-bust operation conducted by SWAT operatives and Macabalan Police Station at Accretion in Barangay Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro. The slain drug suspects were identified as John Ben Rosagaran, 26, and Tata Nacua who are both residents of the said place.
According to Senior Insp. Sebastian Chua who is the chief operation of Macabalan Police Station, the suspects fought the police that’s why they were shot and unfortunately killed.
Both Rosagaran and Nacua received bullets in the head which cause their deaths. Yielded from the suspects were a 45 caliber firearm, a 38 revolver pistol, a grenade, 3 large sachets of suspected shabu, P500 buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia.
Joy Rosagaran, the mother of John Ben Rosagaran, emotionally admitted to Bombo Radyo that her son is involved in illegal drugs. She added that her son already surrendered in the “Oplan Tokhang”, however, unknown to her that her son continued in selling and using illegal drugs.
Rosagaran is calling for Mayor Oscar Moreno to help her with the burial of her son. She also called for her son’s friends who are also involved in illegal drugs to stop their illegal doings.
City Police Dir. Police Senior Supt. Ronnie Francis Cariaga was saddened with the death of the 2 drug suspects. According to him, the police did all that they can to make the operation not bloody as possible. But with the suspects who sent bullets back to the police, a reason they were shot killed. He is calling for those who are involved in illegal drugs to stop their vices so their lives won’t be put in danger.
