03 Apr 2 Girls Stabbed to Death in Siquijor: Suspect Seemed High on Drugs
In a post by Dumaguete Journalist Judy Flores Partlow, 2 girls were stabbed to death in Solangon, San Juan, Siquijor. The suspect was seemed to be under the influence of illegal drugs and intoxication liquor.
The victims were identified as Nikki Piñero, 21, of Dumaguete City, and Loreen Ramirez, 17 years old, resident of Makati City.
The suspect, Michael Malayo y Anabasa, 34 years old, and a resident of Opon, Lapu-lapu City, Cebu, was arrested in San Juan Police Station for Multiple Murder.
In a phone interview with ACADEO, Dr. Model Grace Montes, Medical Officer III of the Siquijor Provincial Hospital, who examined the suspect, described that the suspect’s eyes were dilated and his hands were numbed.Dr. Montes said the suspect kept on saying that it was the victim’s fault that they got killed and they deserved to die.

The medical officer also gave insights on what happened that night. According to what she had gathered, the suspect and the victim were acquaintances who were attending a longboard competition. The girls were already preparing to sleep when the suspect went out of his room and started a killing rage – stabbing everyone he met.
The suspect willingly surrendered to the police. Police officers recovered a sachet of marijuana and six pieces of kitchen knife with blood stains.
The victims were declared dead on arrival at the Siquijor Provincial Hospital.
