In a report from GMA News, 3 police officers were arrested at a checkpoint in Marawi City after not heeding to the authorities’ order to stop.
The police officers were said to be coming from Butig, Lanao del Sur which was reportedly occupied by the Maute Group before.
5 pistols and several bullets were found from the police officers’ possessions.
Authorities will conduct an investigation whether the 3 police officers are affiliated with the Maute group or not.
